Why it matters

Nobody here is paid.

Lisanga Space runs on time that people give. The board, the hosts and the volunteers all do this around their jobs and their families, and that part is not going to change.

What time cannot cover is the room, the food on the table and the things that let someone walk in who otherwise could not. That is what a gift pays for.

Keeping it free is the point.

Where it goes

Straight into the room.

We are new, so we are not going to put invented numbers on this page. Here is honestly what a gathering needs.

A room Somewhere warm enough that people stay and talk after the programme ends.
Food on the table You cannot have good conversation on an empty stomach, and we are not about to start trying.
Childcare The single thing most likely to decide whether a parent can come at all.
Materials Handouts for an LS Money session, name badges, the small things that make a room work.
Getting the word out Reaching the people who would love this and have never heard of us.
Keeping it free So that nobody ever has to work out whether they can afford to belong.
